Black overlays are now a factory accessory for 2019s, including tailgate inserts, too. Not sure if anyone has pointed that out yet. Pic from the Toyota site:

Eventually they should come out as service parts, I would think. Check with your dealers.

You're most likely not wrong, but OEM quality interests some. (Maybe not most on TW though, as alternatives are plentiful)

The ones from Southeast Toyota are OEM . Most here are just trying to save a little.
Me included. If the ones I ordered aren't right I'll just pony up the 135 for the Southeasts .

I work for a company that owns the Toyota store that I got my Tacoma from, so I get a discount. When they pulled the price on just the side overlays, it was 113 a piece, at our cost. The ebay link I used was from a Toyota store in Florida, but in the description said "Brand new factory item directly from South Eastern Toyota" I think it was about $142 total.

I ordered mine from McDonough Toyota in GA. It’s an oem option, gulf state only assessory. They have a factory part number any dealer can order. You can also order them through Amazon with the part number. Hope that helps.

00016-35850. Southeast Toyota. The problem is everyone is using that OEM part number. It looks to be hit or miss if you will get the correct ones in the aftermarket. Mine will be here tomorrow. We will see

No congrats here. Got em yesterday. Emblems . Not overlays. Metal. Except for the Tacoma. Which is a plastic emblem. Even the tailgate letters are metal. Weird. Anyway , seller gave me half my money back so if anyone wants this set it's 45 bucks shipped. I'm out of town now but can post a pic on Sunday.
PM me if interested. I'm ordering a set for 135. Cheers

To me it was the cleanest, easiest option. They look great, and I'm hoping they hold up. I'll probably still take the V6 off for a cleaner look, so it'll just be the doors and tailgate inserts.

Finally threw on the OEM overlays on my Tacoma. I really like the look with the cement paint.

Bought the ones from Southeast Toyota a couple weeks ago. Tried buying from a local dealer since I have a wholesale account, and they couldn't sell it to me since it was a Southeast Toyota part. The overlays are thinner than a Dixie cup, so hopefully they stand the test of time.

Following up on my previous post - I actually ordered these and they arrived a few days ago. Package came with what was shown in photos, no blemishes except for a small mark on one tailgate piece, can confirm they are full badges and not overlays.

Every emblem is thick aluminum except driver/pass doors "tacoma". The 4x4, V6, and Tacoma Tailgate inserts are all aluminum.

Sticker tape is not 3M brand, but it is an alternative "replica" industrial adhesive, it will be totally fine and unnoticeable.

I'm happy with the purchase as it was the most affordable full set I could find. No duties/customs cost to import into Canada.

Finally also took delivery of my truck, will be applying soon.
