okay tacos I am in process of upgrading my sound system and Toyota doesn’t make it easy. I spent way over 3000 already and keeps climbing. My first mod but can’t wait to hear it.

I've thrown enough money at sound systems over the years to probably buy another vehicle outright. I can definitely appreciate the work you're putting into it and hope you get it finished up soon, but:

Looks great, just finished doing this myself. Had everything in my truck tore apart for about two weeks. Got pioneer touch screen head unit and all DS18 6.5 inch pro speakers for the doors, ds18 pro horns for all doors and 4- 8-inch ds18 subwoofers behind the rear seat. I have 2000 watts going to the highs and mids, 3000 watts going to the subs, this is the loudest tacoma I have ever heard. Dynamat on entire inside of doors and cab, 1 ought power and ground cables, 4000 watt capacitor for the sub amp. raptor lined the sub box and you can't tell it has any of it unless you lift up seats or under seat storage compartment, nice and clean.

You spent way over $3000 on a sound system on your truck? Holy shit. In later years you’ll spend more than that on hearing aids just so you can hear someone talking to you from 3 feet away. Don’t misunderstand me I do appreciate great sound systems(and good music), I’ve had a couple high end systems myself, and I appreciate the work you are putting in, but high decibels especially in an small enclosed area will eventually kill your hearing, I speak from experience.

I did not spend that kind of money, got it all at dealer price..(friends). I am 47 years old, I used to install systems and I just on a whim, decided to build this one. I don't listen to it loud all the time , but if I want I can shake the rear views mirrors of cars 3 deep in front of me. I just been seeing people trying to build systems for these tacomas and not getting what they wanted, so I decided to build it to see if I could do it. I have had many systems in the past and my hearing is fine.. I also have a system in my dodge ram 1500 but its not as loud as this one. Have you ever did anything just to see if you could?? Thats what I did with this and it turned out amazing.

What happened to the days where cars would drive past you blasting their bass? Those were the days. Early-mid 90's. Everyone did it. I was blasting N 2 Deep "Back to the Hotel" out of my Civic hatchback

    Good luck OP!

Just need to carpet and put the baffle in. Sound amazing. All my gain on low until I break in the speaker.
