I can't speak for the genius in the story but if a crowd of people saw my pale-ass wiener hanging out and wiggling around like a worm caught in the sun, "horrified" would be the right descriptor.

Are you suggesting Grizzly Bear numbers in the lower 48 are too high ?

I've not seen any in my neighborhood. Squirrels are the only destructive animals here.

I have way too many chipmunks. Would like to find a humane way of killing them off.

We have an outside cat that is pretty amazing (he's around 11 years old now which is ancient for an outside cat)

We never see mice, chipmunks, or any varmints really. Well, actually we never see them WHOLE.

We find plenty of parts of them.

The worst was the lower half of a squirrel sitting on the porch as if he were resting and snacking on a nut, it was just that nothing was there above his midsection. He ate the top half and let him sit.

One year we almost had a mole problem. The cat discovered the moles. No more moles.

That was cool to watch because he could hear them underground and would stalk them and dig them up.

I've never much cared for cats but I will be missing this one when he's gone.

Yeah we've never had a mouse in the house in the 4 years we've lived here...outside cats take care of that. My shop however does get more because the cats dont go around there that much. but as long as they stay out of the house Im happy. I cant stand mice in the house EVER. The last house we found mice in the house and turns out they had an opening under the kitchen stove area that was open directly to the crawlspace! we didnt have outside cats there but after I found that I eliminated the mice coming in! We did have one die on the ducts under the crawlspace and stink up the house but other than that no problems...

The lower 48 as a whole, no. Certain parts of Wyoming, yes.
