So in December I need to have two rear facing car seats in my double cab. One will be for a 1.5y/o and one will be for our new daughter. My problem is that my current rear facing car seat for my son is behind the passenger seat. I don't think I can fit the second rear facing car seat in the middle since I don't think it will fit. I also don't want it behind my seat because I'll have to move my seat too far forward.

So... What have you guys done with multiple rear facing car seats? Are there good ones that don't take a lot of room? Help with solutions please.

I've never had multiple rear facing seats. But it would be doable with the right car seats. Like a Diono Radian, which is fairly slim. You could fit these next to each other.

hoping somebody has a few recs on car seats.
i had a nuna pipa behind the passenger seat, and didn't leave much room up front for comfort.
My girl had me ride shotgun so i experienced the discomfort first hand.
once we got a fwd facing maxi cosi, we were able to slide her seat back some and has been a much better ride.
any chance you can put the dual seats in mom's car until your boy is big enough for forward facing seat?

    Trade it for a minivan.

I second the Diono Radian. In full disclosure I haven't installed it in my truck but we have one for my wife's vehicle. The reason we bought it is because it is slim and allowed for all three seats to be used across (two other boosters). It's well built but if I recall pretty pricey compared to other seats.

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm glad there are options. I can't justify keeping a truck I can't put my family in... I was a bit concerned for a while .

Never!! I'll get a full size truck and a project 4runner if it comes to it. At least with a project 4runner I won't care so much about dents and tipping it on its side like I am with my Tacoma.

Its tight with a rear facing seat I really want it to work as well I only have the one for now but can't justify/afford the extra money for a full size truck
