People at the RV place said it wouldn’t be a problem because they wanted to sell you a trailer. It’s going to be a problem. When you load your trailer up you’ll be 5600 lbs or more. Your truck is rated to pull up to 6500 lbs and it will pull your trailer. But performance and gas mileage will be poor. Your truck will do ok on flat highways but on hilly and mountainous roads it’ll be a struggle. If you load your truck up with stuff and passengers you will likely be at or over the GVWR.
I would get air bags and a WDH to help with vehicle ride and control. It’ll pull your trailer it’s just not the optimal vehicle to tow that much weight even though it is rated for 6500 lbs.

I have an RV similar size and have towed it a couple hundred miles both ways, kept it under 60 mph and under 2500 rpm's and it pulled just fine, have a Duramax also so not sure how often i will use the Tacoma to tow but was impressed how well it towed it.

Campers are very very large, and very light (weight) for their physical dimensions. That means that you will be fighting constantly with aerodynamics -- both in terms of wind resistance at any substantial speed, as well as being blown around by cross winds and the wake of any other large vehicle on the road that passes by (in either direction).

When you are pulling something like this, the actual weight is only a very small part of the equation.

My suggestion: Get a pop-up, or save the money and use motels instead.

A option for better towing is to get the ovtune. It will give you more power for towing. The truck will put it fine. It may have some trouble pulling up steep hills.
