Any of the main names work fine. Thule, Yakima, etc

Just go to your LBS and snag a medium size

The only tailgate mats I've seen are dakine. Maybe because their name is stamped so loudly on them. I don't think I've ever noticed another brand.

Could you post your opinion on the tailgate mat after you get it?

I’ve seen some rubber mats that screw onto the inside of the tailgate. Suppose to add additional protection. I wonder how well it holds up..

The OEM bed mat is great. I've placed gas cans in after being filled and they don't slide at all.

Are those ammo canisters on top of the wheel well covers? Did you just through-bolt them to mount? Looks good.

Yes they're great and affordable, they sit a bit above the bed since you need space to bolt them to the rails and have room for the lid to secure down. Not sure if they'll fit a short bed, but they're perfect for the long bed since it keeps open the entire floor of the bed. Plus I like to easy access them over each bed rail. Waterproof, lockable and most important they're black.

Boomerang Rubber makes one. Formerly known as Lot-Ridge Rubber Co. I wouldn't be surprised if they're the manufacturer of the OEM bed mat.

@Grossomotto like your set up a lot. How did you mount those canisters onto the bed rails?

Just buy the t nuts and bolts, drill correct size holes in can and secure to the rail with bolt head on inside of can, you can use large washers to make it more secure on inside. Measure a few times before you drill.

I’ll get a picture when I’m back home.
