You want a bed rack on your truck......but you have a Bakflip cover with relocated accessory rails

    MAX Modular has the solution!!

    How to order

Go to our website and pick out the bed rack of your choice: https://www.max-modular.com/shop-max-modular/

When asked "UPGRADE TO TONNEAU BRACKETS ($125 OPTION)"....say NO, and add the rack to your cart.

Then add these little beauties to your cart: https://www.max-modular.com/shop-max-modular/tonneau-brackets-bakflip

A few days later your new bed rack kit will arrive at your door :burnrubber:

We're going to have a new URTC coming out this fall. We will make a Bakflip compatible version of that one.

That said......do you really need you cover to open? Once you get used to accessing the bed through the tailgate, it normally becomes a non issue.

Great question... I do with the mat in there it is tough to access with our crawling into the bed. I am excited for the next version. Any chance it will be all black? Count me in when it is done. Thanks again!

Just got a bakflip also and am interested in this set up as well. Do you have a time frame when it will be ready? Also do these adjust to roof rack height? I have a hybrid fishing kayak that’s about 12 foot long and I want to stressful across the truck so I can pull a small camper as well.

Thanks, this product looks awesome btw.

    They are available now: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...located-accessory-rails.567917/#post-18687137

The racks are not adjustable in height, but we offer 10", 14", 18", and 22" heights. The tonneau brackets also add 2.5" in height.

    These brackets look great.

I’ve got the Bakflip Revolver X2 (hard rolling cover).....will I be able to roll the cover up with the rack on? Obviously I’d need a rack that’s tall enough (probably the 14” to be safe) but will the sides of the rack be in the way?

    Thanks for you help

Thanks for the quick reply. I was actually referring to the URTC rack. Is it can height? Also, are the brackets for bakflip compatible with this rack?

The URTC can be adjusted to any height, but it is not compatible with BakFlip.

Right, but didn’t you say above you would have brackets for the URTC to fit the bakflip this fall? If so, what is the time frame?

Ok. That’s what I was trying to get info on, I guess. The new one. Any notification sign ups for release or can you give a better idea of time frame?

You would only be able to roll the cover up until it hits the first leg of the rack.

But.......if you needed to put anything large in the bed, the rack comes right off with four bolts.

I have the 46" short rack mid height. I wanted the option to have the cover open and or closed so I choose the mounting points further back to clear the folded up cover.
    IMG_1528.jpg
The bed tracks are too far forward and needed to be moved back toward the tailgate 2 7/8".

    IMG_1534.jpg
    IMG_1540.jpg
I removed each bed track using a Torx30 and drilled (3) 1/4" holes 2 7/8" forward of each existing hole.

    IMG_1539.jpg

    IMG_1544.jpg
I remounted the bed track which is now moved back.

    IMG_1545.jpg
    IMG_1547.jpg
Separate the BakFlip bed rail using the Torx30 leaving the mounting point closest to the bulkhead attached. Wiggle the the bracket in place. Its a pain in the ass.
    IMG_1546.jpg
    IMG_1548.jpg

    IMG_1550.jpg
Measure 46" and install other bracket.

    IMG_1553.jpg
    IMG_1552.jpg
Cover locks in and closes without issue.

    IMG_1554.jpg
    IMG_1556.jpg
    IMG_1557.jpg
I left the cover open for ease of install. Also had to make slight adjustments to the rear brackets to fit the side mounts. Pain in the ass because you have to almost uninstall the BakFlip bed rails to loosen the brackets.

    IMG_1566.jpg
    Bolt to bed tracks.

    IMG_1565.jpg
I uninstalled each corner from the brackets and closed the cover. Everything is lined up and bed rack ready for complete assembly.

    IMG_1570.jpg
Done son. When you need the bed unbolt each corner and with a help of a friend remove the rack. Now you have your bed. All the difficulty came with the BakFlip not the rack. Assembly of the rack was easy and the product is awesome.
