My Toyota Truck History

After the stock Goodyears on my '92, I ran AT's. It seems like they were $1050 installed in the '90's. (Can't wait to put them in the new truck!)

P.S. I used to get them at Sears

 

I bought a few sets back then. Seems like around $300-$400 a set

 

I’m about positive they have been sitting on it for months at the price lol.

 

Damn, they were still pretty expensive.

 

Grey and silver looks pretty dope.

 

I remember test driving a brand new 4x4 Manual Toyota Truck back around 1985 or so, it was an off white color and I think the price was somewhere around 8 grand.

 

Did $8000 feel like a lot of money in 1985?

 

It was not too bad, bought my first brand new car in 1988 and it was $7995.

I had this exact truck when i was 16. I loved it. And it had the bench seat with tweed saddle style cover on it

 

UNLESS....
You're a teenager who drives a single-cab truck and also dates girls. As I did. In which case, a bench seat is infinitely cooler than twin buckets, since it gives you a place to lay down and...relax.

 

At 16 I bought my 86; Canopy with a bed in the back > bench... just saying.

 

Mine was an '87 Nissan that didn't come with a cap; I had a total of $300 invested in a truck with 250k+ miles on it and wasn't interested in spending the $$ on a cap because it would have been more than the truck was worth.
