Like a Subaru Brat? That would be pretty cool. I bet a rear bench from a Wrangler would fit the bed. Hmm...

Access cabs are for bachelors. And bachelors don’t use freakin carts. One bag. Smooth transition into the access door.

I put my lunch pail in the rear of my access cab every day for work. I get out and open both doors and done. Dbl cab and I would have to get out close one door, walk back and open another and then close. Access cab seems more convienient vs my previous truck which was a dbl cab. In reality you will like which ever one you decide you will like and hate whichever one you want to hate.

A little something every chance we get.
True to the extents, @Exracer2. I said it was an annoyance, not a hate. In all the double cabs since, I just open the rear, put my lunch and computer bag in the back, then hop in the front. And I DID find a way around the shopping/parking. You just come around the front of the truck, and after you open the access door, close the front. The hassle was getting around the crap parking jobs to GET to the front! I was just pointing out the inconvenience I had, as everything discussed was hard spec. And, assuming EJ... might occasionally need to go to the store, even with the wife..... Happy wife, happy life. Peace out.

No worries. Different people have different perspectives. In my case back to back ownership of dbl cab vs access cab I have no issues. I hated the dbl cab because it was simply a garbage can collecting shit and all storage was under seat. So if I had stuff on the seat it had to go before I could get to the storage. My access cab only has the seats down IF I have an extra passenger. That has been less than a handful of times in 2 years.

If only I could order a truck with one seat. Now that would be awesome.

I like my Access Cab rear seat delete (Utility Package). Very functional.
It's my 5 speed, MT, two-seater. How can that not be fun ?

What I did when I had an access cab is find the cart return cage. There is usually much more room because those cages don't fill a parking space. I have to load cases of produce into my cab (NEED a bed cover badly!), so I need that extra door room even with the double cab.

Have you ever seen the lazy bastards that just sling the empty cart in the general direction of the return area? Yeah, I don't park near that.

True. I didn't care as much with my stock 2wd '09 over time, and it was still in such good shape that I got $15k for it totaled. I will probably break that habit now that I have this one.

    Working on them
from what Wade Toyota in St,George told me is many buyers come in from California to them due to much lower tax rate and larger selection and they do know all the steps to take to get you properly set up and give you what you need to have it registered in CA and will do it much of it for you along with making sure that the proper paper work is in place that the MV department needs. I can't hurt to call them and check em out but Don't make the largest buyers mistake by telling them you paying Cash Never tell a dealer you are paying Cash until you have final out the door cost signed for because many dealers make a Hugh cut from financing and save a pile of money turn down that "Gap insurance" that is just a up front in their pocket cash giving you nothing in return. I worked with Brian Gates there 435 - 628 - 7300 and actually found that that I could stand the guy (I hate Car Salesmen) yes he tried the typical sales BS and when I called em out he dropped it all together.

At some point i'm going to stuff a customized bench seat in there, what vehicle it comes out of is anyone's guess. I guess i'll spend a day down the junkyard measuring. Whatever i cram in there i'll weld brackets so it will bolt up like it came from the factory, and the old seats will be saved for trade in. Probably what i'll do is hollow out the bench seat build a cage inside the hollow spot for extra storage and a rifle.

It only takes a few minutes to either pull them or replace them, right now both mine are pulled but in my last truck I kept just the passenger side jump seat installed and I'll probably reinstate that set up. Years ago I set up a 2-door sedan for a ski trip by removing the rear bench and passenger seats so I could sleep full length on that side. There might be enough length in the AC for that but with a 6' bed it's not needed.

What i'll eventually do is a custom bench seat not the backing part. I'll rip it down bare metal create a storage cage and then have it reupholstered brackets welded where they bolt up correctly. The good news is i have plenty of junkyards around here cherry pick the perfect bench seat modify.

Get the OR with long bed double cab...to me a no brainer. The extra foot will help you load more wood. I wish they made this config in 2014!

I'm good with the 6 foot i'm a master spider webbing long logs together. that tailgate hydraulic takes a little getting used to but the truck is perfect any bigger and i have clearance issues everywhere.

When the Goodyear’s have low miles on them you can actually sell them for $. Why keep tires that are less than ideal? I was living in Michigan and switched to Duratracs almost immediately because I wasn’t happy with the OEM tires in the snow. They didn’t suck, but they weren’t winter rated tires, and I didn’t want snow tire specific tires swapped each winter. Duratracs had winter snow peak rating and rock in the snow. Swapped them on and sold the OEM tires to offset the cost. I think I got around $400 for the OEM tires on CL.
