How satisfied are you with the look in person and how much of a pita was it to install?

Installed OEM rear retractable step bumper....best add-on ever, took me 35 minutes total. Practical!

 

New shoes. Cooper ST Maxx 265-75-16. These are much quieter than expected considering the aggressive tread

Loaded up with sod. Around 800lbs. I’m not going to lie it was on my mind because I baby my truck!

 

You only get the 4x4 badge on the tailgate on 4x4 SR5s since they don’t have a bed sticker denoting 4x4.

No real reason honestly. Just really liked the price and feel of the pioneer and weren’t sure the extra features of the summit were something we really needed.

 

Wheels and Tires

 

Today I added an AMP Research Bed step, added the upgraded Toyota Alarm system with the Glass Break Sensor, and did the 400W All the time Mod. All possible with the help of this forum. Thanks much to all who posted the ideas, the instructions, and the photos. Couldn’t have done without your help.

 

What made you go with the AMP step instead of OEM?

 

I’ve always had good luck with Amp products. Made in the USA and of great quality.

 

First, last, and only patch in my rig!

 

Installed a solar panel. Fabbed up the hardware with aluminum scraps that were on hand. Not sure if I like it, might make it collapsible.

Haven’t gotten to the controller yet...

 

CoverKing velour dashmat. Yes, I know they’re cheesy, but I like them and it’s my rig.

 

Pretty sure they are identical. I think AMP makes the Tacoma step.

 

Might be more aerodynamic as it is deflecting the airflow over the rtt, awning or what have you and increase mpg's over it down. Might be worth a controlled test to see which is more efficient. I know I'm curious. Either way I like it!
