Hood-fender fit: Need body shop tech opinion

I would appreciate the opinion of a body shop tech on whether or not a rather minor problem of the hood not being flush with the fender on some Gen 3 Tacomas should be corrected and if so what is the best method? Here is the ongoing thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hood-not-flush-with-fenders.523843/ Most of the time there seems to be only a 1/16 or 1.6 mm discrepancy with the hood being this amount too low compared to the fender.
