I tried doing some searching and had a hard time finding definitive answers/opinions.

I have a 09 sport, and i'm looking to potentially upgrade from the oem bilsteins.

From what i gather, the oem bilstein are not the same as the 4600's, and the 4600's would be an upgrade over the oem. The 5100's are more suited for lift kits, and will give a slightly stiffer ride than the 4600's, but the 5100's would have the added benefit of being adjustable to level the truck.

Now my question is really what would be best suited for me. I do not off road, and leveling would nice, but its not a dealer breaker.

I guess it comes down to ride quality. 2 things i notice that suck with this truck are payload capacity sagging which the easiest fix is bags, and the ass end loves to kickout on any kind of bumps and a slight corner.

I mostly highway/city drive, i do not off road, often have to drive in snow/rain, and i do load the bed to haul materials fairly often.

So i guess it comes down to 4600 (potentially leveling spacers if i want to level) or the 5100's maybe one slot above the stock setting to level. Or are either of these even worth it in my situation? Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

The truck is in now getting a frame replaced, and i figure since thats happening, i might as well keep it a few more years.

The OEM shocks for the OR are 36 mm piston Bilsteins that are made just for Toyota. Living in the northeast you might be better off with the 5100s for the exterior finish.
