Tucson Meet & Greets

It came down to three rigs rolling out and id rather save a Chiricahua trip when we have a few more heads camping. Justin got called to work in Virginia and Brian needs new wheel bearings.

I'd be in on the next easy / newb trail. I know I know I'm that guy, but have never taken my stock 17 TRD OR 4WD DCSB (minus falken wildpeak SL's and Ray10s) anywhere besides a few dirt roads. Would like to try some mild stuff out, meet some good peeps in the taco community and decide whether or not I'll get more into it. Sub'd for updates.

 

That easy run was a few weeks ago when we tested some gear out. @Brindybot was by far the easiest going guy out there. We had to continuously encourage him to please go a little faster than 5mph .

 

Lol. Well next time and promise I’ll go faster than 5mph.

Same, I'm not ready for Chiva Falls and trails like that yet.

 

Valencia and Alvernon, live in same subdivision as Tron.

 

Your all ready! You just need a little experience. Ive done every trail around tucson stock without skids or sliders. Just gotta get out there, build your confidence and learn your truck

I'll be back in Tucson November 10th-11th to finish the final preparations to sell my house. I figured I'd give everyone plenty of notice this time instead of "Hey, I'm here"

 

Only way to get better is to do the hard stuff and forget about the easy stuff, only way to progress is to challenge yourself. And also realizing your truck is a truck and it’s not just any truck, it’s meant to take a beating

 

Chiva has plenty of options to take on the trail and is a great begginer trail because it allows for you to choose how hard yu want to push it. I took @Negra_Motaco out there to break in his 3rd gen and it was a blast! We can plan a slow easy day out there and take our time on some of the rock features. Your trucks are way more than capable to make it its just getting comfortable with what those bad boys can handle like what @trojanman18 is saying.

are you going to be working on the house the whole time your down here? Turn and burn type of deal or will you have some time.

 

So.......... um........ that matters because?

 

Kinda wanna keep it in somewhat driveable/good shape before it's paid off. Lol.

 

I'll have some time, my realtor is going to get the major repairs done, I'll just have to do cleanup and get rid of whatever crap the woman leaves.

 

That's kinda what we all say, however, ive been going hard on mine since I bought it, just paid it off earlier this year after 10 yrs of ownership (multiple refinances) it's all about wheeling your shit, breaking shit, building it better, wheeling it more and continually improving it. If your not breaking things, your doing it wrong. In the end, it's built, paid for and your confidence in your vehicle is where it should be. The beauty of these trucks is that your not going to break anything that you can't fix in your garage in a weekend with a couple buddies and a 30 pack.
