I’m I alone on this, it seems my new Tacoma is always shifting or looking for a happy gear, and wanted to check trans. fluid level, no dip stick?

Welcome to Tw! Sorry to hear about the truck OP. I would give it some time and put some miles on it, while your doing that check the threads. A lot of people talk about or feel the same way. If you're still unhappy I would take it back to the dealership and have them do the latest TSB to your truck. Hope this helps.

2016 trucks had an ECM update for the same issue. after that the shifting was pretty much normal, but im assuming your truck is newer so i would check if there are any TSBs for that concern.

Welcome to the group. Yep no trans dip stick. There are threads on the shifting issues. Check themout. And as others have said may be get the dealer to do the TSB on your truck. I hope it works out for you.
