Night time shot from inside. Fuel container was ~3 feet behind. I couldn't disable the reverse lights as I don't have the anytime cam mod done yet, but the conical hotspot goes much further back. Can see the light bouncing off the bumper step portion, but doesn't affect the reflector cone projection much.IMG_2509.jpg

is there a possible way to be able to plug one of these light into outlet in the bed, that way when it is needed, it can be plugged in and attached to a go pro bedrail accessory mount then removed when done.

Thanks! I am going to try to install in one of the holes in my aftermarket rear bumper, and use as a reverse light. Someone got me one of these lights for TWSS!

but after looking for a picture, maybe I need to rethink placement..

    a few...
I mount these Rigid Industries flush mount back-up lights in my black bumper step a month ago. I ran them directly to my backup lights which are Diode Dynamics XP50 at ~410 lumens each x2. These Rigids are ~1000 each x2. Plenty of backup lighting now as I used them in very dark sky’s in upper-Wisconsin. Pictures in action to follow up at a future date. Pardon my dirty truck from the trip.

Been thinking about this but with a baja design s2. Think there is enough room to do that if I was to trim the metal portion of the bumper?

Maybe use a driving/wide combo in yellow for a chase light too

Just in case it is handy for anyone else, I made this pattern for the cutout since the packaging for the Ignite has too generic of a pattern. It will print on 8.5 x 11.0 paper. If folks want, they can stick it on some heavier paper?

Done. I'm just waiting on the rest of the taillight mod to wire it up.

    IMG_20180927_201513.jpg

I painted the fasteners to keep folks eyes off of it. I might add some matte finish to blend if it is really noticeable in the daylight. My guess is that it will be fine.

The only issue I had was that the mounting screws were about 1/4in too short and are freaking SAE. :annoyed: I'll stop on the way home to get some longer ones, maybe metric to make myself happy?

    I'll paint those when done.

Bought an Ignite Diffused and hooked it up to the 7-pin trailer harness reverse-light wire. I cut off the metal backup-sensor-wire-bundle mounting clip using a dremel, which allowed me to mount the light about 3/4" higher. I think this improves the light throw. I can see what's behind me at night, now.
