I got the warranty through Toyota on my Taco. I'm also going to purchase a warranty for the wife's Jeep through Chrysler. Never been a warranty person for anything... but mechanical parts are engineered to last for decades under intense stress.. working in IT, electronics on the other hand are typically EOL after 5 years. My warranties are for the electronics of the vehicles, it's simply a plus that everything else is covered as well. Only get a warranty from the manufacturer though, no after-market warranty BS.

I think my dealership might be one of few who offers that warranty. Haven’t heard of any dealership in my area offering it. Now they offer lifetime warranty on the whole vehicle.

The dealer I'm buying through has a lifetime powertrain warranty on all the new vehicles they sell (I think used too, if they meet certain criteria). They also offer a bumper-to-bumper lifetime warranty add-on for $$$$. They are both good as long as you own your vehicle. I like to drive my cars into the ground, so I plan on that being for a long time. Obviously not worth it if you flip vehicles every 3-5 years and barely ever get past the manufacturer's standard warranty.

Maybe I shouldn't be on here reading about everyone's stuff breaking, but with the new TSS functions and all the extra features I got in the Premium + Technology packages, it seems there is a lot of stuff to break down! And it is tech and electronics items, not something you can just turn a wrench to fix. Something like the radio head unit can cost over $3000 to replace, which would already pay for the warranty if it goes out even once. Not cheap to fix cars anymore!

Because of that I am going to get the full b2b warranty I think. On one hand, hopefully I don't have to use it a ton and have my truck in the shop all the time, but on the other hand, hopefully I don't regret it and it pays for itself by saving me the expenses later on.

I purchased the warranty, after the transmission issues and other small issues, they refunded me the money and still let me keep the warranty.

unfortunately, they wouldn't mention it since they are paying for it if something happens.

Mine came with dealer lifetime power train warranty.......considering I’m keeping this thing at least 30 years, they might regret that. :D

If I could get it free, I would. I can fix a lot for the money used to buy one and most of the time, you don't need them.

Agree... generally a waste of money.

Keep in mind that it already comes with a pretty decent warrenty (3 year B to B and 5 year powertrain)...
