What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Went to the dealship and had the NYS inspection performed. Also, I had the blower/fan motor replaced due to the recall.

 

My thoughts exactly

 

I know, right!? That’s why I derped mine first just to make sure I like the look. When I was looking at the overlays they were $100. Seems crazy to me for some plastic and sticky tape. Anyway I do like the look a lot. If/when the derp comes off, I will either derp them again or paint them satin black. So far the derp is holding up well. Been through the car wash at least 20 times, still looks like new.

 

Here is my Outback, when I was deciding between the Black and Cement Tacoma.

 

I had a black 04, and it was a sweet looking truck. Nothing cleans up like black.

 

If you call Crutchfield, Ask about the kickers for your Tacoma they will set you straight. I believe I paid around $250 for everything

Yes, they are the CBI bed bars. I mounted eye bolts underneath the bars, and use cam straps to secure the boards...could use bungee, too. Simple and functional is my motto!

Hello, I live in Buffalo New York also. What year is your taco?. Will you having a problem with the blower or did they just replace it due to the fact that it was a recall?. Also did you have the TSB done on the transmission?. They said I didn't need it at my 2016. I'm just curious if I should go get my blower replaced even though it works fine. Thanks

Yep, about the same as Toyota denying warranty work when a Tacoma is used off road, or the oil pan tilt issue when a Tacoma climbs a steep hill.
