I had a bathroom at the old house that didn't breathe very well, always seemed stuffy and I am terrible about remembering to turn on the fan so I bought a humidistat auto fan switch. It would kick the fan on from time to time without the shower going. Might be a good solution for you.

Warm moist air in bathroom , cold water in toilet tank makes it a condensing surface

    That is a good idea.
I have not yey spent a winter in the house so unsure of how stuffy it gets with the heater on.
If its getting humid then this does sound like a good idea. Thanks

    EDIT:
Also, I would not be shocked if this was all due to a leak. The plumbing in the house has a tendency to leak if everything is not perfectly tightned, teflon taped, and faucets are not perfectly shut.
I’m trying to find a cause/solution to that. I’m willong to bet its excessive water pressure.
As of right now there is no leaking from the toilet water source. I bet it will leak when I unplug the toilet though, even when its turned off

I dunno, bics are pretty rugged...I saw them shoot one through a wall once and it still wrote. If a bic can leave imprints on a Cherrywood table just with regular writing then I'm sure it could leave a mark on IPE if somebody was really trying.

I never looked for one. I don’t have one near the city water source into the house.

I got a water gauge and water in the house is 90psi. Obviously an issue.

He’s talking about a meter that reads moisture content/humidity.

    I have no idea.
Unless my thermostat does that? I’ve never looked.

I don’t think any of this is a humidity issue. I think its a water pressure and water leak issue.

That bathroom does not get humid.

When you walk into a room and you don’t think its humid... it’s not humid.

No need to waste money on a meter.
