I have been looking a lot at Offroad bumpers and really don't want to cut the plastic bumper. My hopes is to get one that will fill in the gaps after the plastic cover is taken off and matches flush.

Has anyone purchased one like that? I have only seen very few.

I inquired about "filler" pieces for aftermarket steel bumpers and stock fenders with McNeil Racing and they said it may be available soon. I hope so cause I don't wanna cut up my stock bumper. :fingerscrossed:

If you haven't seen it Expedition 1 makes a bumper like you are describing. https://expeditiononestore.com/products/2016-tacoma-front-bumper

The problem I have with these type of bumpers is that they are heavy. I also don't like the looks. Eventually I will cut my bumper and put one on. I figure if I want to go back I can buy a bumper cover for around $200 and have it painted.

Not many good looking options in my opinion. C4 has the best looking one

I got and installed this bumper. It's sleek but doesn't cover a lot of the front (if that is what you are looking for). I have an album of the install in my media. The part that had to be cut is very simple and follows along the plastic crease anyways. Very simple.

Here's an example of a similar install. Note that for the bumper in the link above, you don't need to measure the cut - just follow along the curve with a dremel wheel.

This one does look nice. A buzzard hit my grill/bumper 4 years ago and took out most of it. $2000 to fix it. The headlight, grill, bumper, repaint...pain. I am hoping to prevent a repeat with all of the back roads I drive.

I have decided to get this for the rear bumper. Getting it put on this Friday. It should protect much better then the plastic bumper on there. I will like that it is one solid color, not the two tone with body color. It feel that if I stood on it that it would break it is so cheap.

Update. I just found out that the BSM function is removed with most rear bumpers. I am cancelling my order on this.

C4 Fabrication is the only rear bumper that I know of that keeps the BSM function

As far as Metaltech, my experience trying to give them my money was a mess. They didnt seemed like they were to motivated to make a bumper and 2 front seat sale. Clincher was shipping quote was 60% of the cost of the bumper! Very odd.

Has anyone heard of, seen, or installed this bumper:

    http://blackhorseoffroad.com/i-27421474-afb-ta16-black-armour-front-hd-bumper-no-lights-2016-to-2018-toyota-tacoma.html?ref=search:https://blackhorseoffroad.com/search.html?q=Afb+ta16

It looks like it covers all the gaps after taking the original bumper off. I too am weary of cutting my bumper. This looks like it only needs the fender flares cut to properly install.

Blackhorse Armour seems like a legit company and their products are sold on multiple sites but they are virtually non existent in these forums.
