so i scheduled an appointment with the dealer i bought the truck from in Feb...what a disaster...i made the appointment on friday last week and when i got there i showed them the TSB paperwork for the ECU update and mentioned that my radio hasn't been updated yet and my outside temp gauge was going crazy when i made the appointment then the guy literally told me they couldn't get all that looked at today ( on the day i made the effin appointment) they close at 5 and i got there at 315.. now i think i'll just do the update myself because those guys are retarded and wasting my time isn't something i intend on doing on a regular basis...so if anyone lives around Alabama, Tennessee, or GA and has the cable and can help a brother out cool if not i get paid soon enough.........rant over sorry i just find it irritating to be told one thing then be told another without any kind of insight or reason why other than ( we don't have time)

Were you able to buy a set of X-act contours for the 3rd gen manual? I'm livid that they don't appear to make them...

I have Husky Mats in mine but they are not X-Act ones, they are thin and stiff but they fit pretty well.

It's weird that on Husky's own site it says they don't have them (says "product may not fit your ride"), but you can order them off of Amazon for the standard transmission.

Anyone actually got them from Amazon or elsewhere and had them fit on a manual Tacoma? I was planning on ordering them but the dealer is throwing in the OEM all weather ones already so I thought I'd see if those are decent before spending the extra $$$ on Huskys.

If Husky doesn't make the X-Act ones for the manual, does at least WeatherTech make them?

I bought Husky x-act contour and weather beater mats for my 18' TRD OR MT double cab. (Directly from Husky) I referenced an older post on tacomaworld to confirm my suspicions.

You have to mix and match. IE I used x-act contour in MT for the front and weather Beaters for the rear...Or was it vice versa? Either way Just use their online configurator and be "okay" with ordering two different types of all weather mats. o_O:thumbsup:

    OEM has pretty weak coverage.

The X-Acts in me auto were amazing. 100% coverage and great texture.

I hate the hard plastic that Weathertech and the Husky Weatherbeaters have, but for some reason, they do make those for MT's

I just looked closer at the mats I linked on Amazon before and I guess they are the WeatherBeaters. Given the picture looks like they are sculpted for every nook and cranny I assumed they were the X-Act fit ones. I guess I'll have to do some more research before ordering if the OEM aren't up to the task, which it sounds likely that they won't be.

I have the OEM mats and I like them. They fit well and have pretty decent coverage. I was going to buy the Huskys but ended up with OEM. I can't see how much better the Huskys could be.

Just did the ecu update on my truck today and I could immediately feel the difference. Another guy here did it for me so I didn’t have to deal with the dealer.

Could you please give an idea of before and after? I notice the non-linear acceleration but was wondering if there were other things I didn’t notice.

I'm not @Kurupt_hawaiian, but I got mine done about a week ago. For me, the 1st to 2nd shift is a lot easier to get done smoothly and there's no bucking in both of those gears putting around at low speeds. Haven't done enough driving this week to see if it affected mileage, but I'll find out after this weekend.

I think mine are the weather beater. I am happy with them.
