I talk shit with people all the time, so do most of the other mods. Let's just drop the victim mentality. No Mod is a "god" on here, trust me. If I get out of line...tcBob has no problem with replacing me with other of his choice. There are these little things called rules, and maybe you have read them in the Code of Conduct. This place is pretty lax compared to most sites. Try posting what you do on here on FB...I'll wait. Shit, I got a vacation notice the other day on FB for a meme that I would share with the Pope. Go figure.

If you feel the mods are out of line, and tcBob can't run his site...feel free to log out. It's just that simple.

Ironic thing is, if you would go back a few pages in this very thread, there were OC members talking shit to AZ members, and Mods...and holy fucking shit, nobody was banned. How did this happen? Oh, thats right...they didn't call Mods fags (and actually mean it in the worst possible way), didn't shitpost or seriously trash other members. A miracle happened and you missed it, we all collectively walked on water. This was truly spiritual.

The shitposting isn't a problem, it just depends where you do it. When you do this constantly to the site owner, not a great plan for longevity on this site. I looked forward to Blender, or Bravelittletoaster, or whatever it is now weekly updates. Damn those are funny. ColoradoTJ and his girly car, ColoradoTJ in his moms Corvette, etc. I look forward to him coming back, and I hope he does. 29 days and counting.

I agree with you, there's a lot of great people on TW, and plenty in the AZ thread.

Go back one page. It started right off with blaming power hungry mods.

 

Something to consider. Things are changing. What was acceptable, 5, 10,20,30,40 and 50 years ago isn’t so acceptable today. I’ve been in the CG 21 years now and it’s a lot different service now than it was 21 years ago when I reported to my first shop as a lowly E2. Ive has to adapt to meet the service standards and the behavior expected of all members. TW is much the same way. We have members joinging the site that may not share the same views as you and find things offensive and detracting from the atmosphere of the site that you may not.

There’s really three options to choose from.
1. Adapt and continue to be a contributing member and learn how to interact and have fun with new members.
2. Don’t adapt and leave the site for somewhere else.
3. Don’t adapt, continue doing what you think is acceptable and face getting warned, reply banned from threads or a ban.

We don’t want TW turning into a cesspool forum on the internet because members can’t control themselves and we do nothing to correct it.

I’ve been here since TW’s first week on the internet and seen a lot of people come and go. It’s going to continue being that way. People will come and go. There is a lot of people on TW and we can’t allow a small contingent of them dictate a negative direction of TW.


There are thousands of threads and thousands of posts on TW daily and we can’t catch everything. When we do we take what we feel is appropriate action. In some cases, bans occur either to the severity of the post or history of the poster.


You know what’s happening today? I’m going to go to work, go home, eat, watch TV or play a video game and go to bed to do it all over again tomorrow (throw a hot shower or two in there too). Going to keep doing that until I retire and then do something else. I’m surely not going to let people I don’t know on a Internet forum get a rise out of me because they don’t agree with how the forum is managed by us.

 

Speaking of fire roads...if you ever go up to Washington run Naches Pass. Fun trail and awesome views.
