Both TSB-0058-18 and TSB-0125-18 are supposed to have the same software that gets us to 04B13. I asked in the update thread for anyone to post up the TSB-0125-18 files for a comparison. Nothing has been posted yet.

This has been my MPGs since new (just over 1yr old):

    Capture.jpg

The first two lines are the when I accidentally pumped 92 octane and then tried a second tank. No bueno! Up to the arrow, I was maintaining a pretty steady 19.4mpg average.

The arrow is when I applied the 04B13 update and headed out on a trip the next weekend. I have about 1,700mi on the new tune, averaging about 21.5mpg on the tune. I'll take that.

I am curious to see what happens for more trips. That big bump might have been a learning thing? The other two bumps in mid-February and late-April were trips also.

As an experiment with the new tune, I pumped in more 92 yesterday. I'll try two tanks to see wassup.

Got 20.1 mpg on my last full tank running the new 04B13 update. Truck is running OEM tires and wheels.

Wha??? That's a big jump! Guess I'll be off to see the dealer sooner than I thought! No problems with mine, but wouldn't mind the extra MPG.

Telling you! And, that big jump was a wheeling trip for the WA Gambler 500. Passes, a decent amount of 4Hi, some 4Lo, and some snatching plus another pass on the way home. On the next tank, we did more off road with two passes on road and two offroad. About 30mi aired down.

I don't think so. If anything they went up. Most of my best tanks were only 18-19 mpg and my first full tank on this update got 20.1 mpg. My commutes of 10 mile in the morning were getting 18-19mpg on the freeway and now I get atleast 20mpg.

Thanks, that is good to hear it went up. My last tank was a little better than 22mpg, hopefully it will go up too after I get that update.

    No problem!

They were all easy except for the rear diff using that hand pump to get over a gallon of fluid in there. It took a lot of pumping.

Basically what @BigHam said. A lot smoother, quick throttle response, it doesn’t feel like it hesitates like before when trying to speed up or overtake someone.

Build date 8/18, service advisor says no applicable tsbs or software updates. Perhaps the latest has been implemented in this build.

you could ask him what calibration you have installed from the factory. then you'll know for sure.

Nice! It'd be good to confirm your ECU ID. If it is loaded, it should be 04B71.

Mine is 8/18 as well and my truck seems pretty smooth. No complaints.

Will one of you guys with 04b13 try a tank of ethanol free? It seems to me that I get a 1.5 mpg bump when I do. It seems strange but it even seems it runs smoother.

2017 and TSB-0125-18. Good chance since you have a recent build date that you may have the most recent ECU update for a 2018. If its anything other than 04B71 as @tonered said, just let them know you have a surge in 1st to 2nd. If that doesn't work, tell them you have a surge in 3rd to 4th. If that doesn't work, trade it in on a 2017 and get TSB-0125-18 done.
