If it's a capable truck, all the more power to GM and Bison owners. Hopefully it'll challenge Toyota to build better Tacomas.

I don’t think most working folks are gonna drop their tacos an jeeps for that, plus most overlanders have already built/building thier rigs to thier liking. I’d be the poser who wants a cold one at anytime in the Walmart parking lot.

I have a hard time justifying anything close to a diesel, higher cost, $/gal currently on a par with gas. But if you can justify the torque needs, or the alleged longevity increase (questionable on current pack of EPA'd diesels) then there is a case for a small set of people.

There's someone that wheels the hell out of his ZR2 in Austin. I honestly had considered picking one up(not the Bison)as an actual daily but I know I can't leave anything alone so I haven't.

They all look good in show-truck setup, let's see the base models.

It's all about competition in the mid size truck segment. Toyota ruled the roost for years without competition and they became complacent. As Ford and GM re-enter the midsize market, and if Nissan could manage to design a Frontier anywhere close to "exciting", Toyota would have to either step up or face a real problem.

Considering your 4Runner is a beast of a battering ram, you'd be the perfect person to put the Bison through the paces.

He's going to serve you a delicious latte and then mug you in the parking lot to take the latte back and for not tipping him

Don't think that holds any longer given the emissions requirements. The basic engines are still good, but when all the rest around it to get the exhaust cleaned up fails and the comp puts it into limp mode, then it just ain't reliable no mo'.

The only way I'd buy a diesel is if I bought a grain truck.

Why a grain truck you ask?

Because I saw this video years ago and have never forgotten it. ManChild.

Mostly black wardrobe, sometimes it works. Usually right after a fresh head shave.
