Not mine, but came off my property last night, I helped drag it out and quarter it up.
Side note a nice pine brach works great it you don't have a gambrel.

The best part is, it’s 48 hours to our season opens and yet I’m deer hunting right now

Try using a thermacell, worth it’s weight in gold as far as I’m concerned.

The best time frame in my opinion and good luck hunting to you, I know you spend a lot of money to hunt Illinois.

Good luck to you, too. I agree it's the best time to hunt. I still use cash when I buy stuff (gas, sodas). and throw my change in a bowl. Every year I have over $500 that I buy tags with. Kind of messed up this year and had my wheels powder coated with it. Oh well, had to use "real" money.

Started the end of last October. My previous employer closed. Sux because I had four weeks vacation plus the flexibility to come in at 10-10:30am after a morning hunt or leave at 2:30-3:00pm for an afternoon hunt. Current job is OK. I have 3 weeks but very little flexibility on hours. Is what it is.....

Agreed! Shot most of my buck between Oct 31st and Nov 8th.

3 weeks is not bad on a new job. Most start with just 1 or 2. Good luck and post some good pics!
