SuperCharger Boost Numbers..?

Some of us had the bung welded in the y pipe after it merges to 1 pipe and just before the exhaust flange.
Works for me.

Exhaust is very open here and like I posted before, still pulls 6psi normally (I'm usually at 800ft above sea level). At same altitude at night its pulled 6.5

When at sea level or lower on a cold night she pulls very hard.... At least the butt dyno says its pulling like a freight train.

Here on Maui on a cold morning at ground zero sea level i can push 8 psi. I've got no cats and full open exhaust (2.5" back pipe) plus i got my apr x1 in the mix. Sorry no video proof Yet!

 

Changing out the catback on our trucks has minimal hp gains and will not effect boost compared to changing out the exhaust manifolds and/or ypipe. Those two are much more restrictive and therefore more power can be made with aftermarket free flowing designs. Boost is relative; MAF makes real power.


If the AFR sensor is having to read though the stock cats in the ypipe; then the AFR guage will be less accurate.

I've had a bower for a number of years. Today I thought I would check to see what kind of boost my ECU is reporting 33.1 psi to my Torque app! Lol

 

All depends on your altitude, sea level or Denver at 6500 feet will vary

 

I live at sea (and also seal) level and if my standard setup is producing more than two atmospheres of pressure, I will eat an over oiled K&N filter.

 

I get 5-6 with the 2.8 pulley and open exhaust. I plan to move to the 2.55 and the ucon once all the new suspensions paid for so I can still beat my brothers jcw Mini Cooper he keeps modding to beat my truck on the drag strip.

 

One way to make a small fortune from racing is to start with a large one.

Where do you tap into the TRD blower for boost pressure for a gauge?
