Just got my release back from Carter for repair. It was entirely my fault it broke the release broke. Waiting to hear back and see what the damage was. I even wondered if it could be repaired.

They basically just sent me brand new one and even paid for the shipping back. Charged me nothing. Zero, and it was my fault the release broke.

Honestly the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They are a bit old school communication wise. Don't even waste your time email them, just call them up.

had a good experience yesterday afternoon. Walked some skid trails behind my house...saw elk/deer tracks, jumped one deer about 145yds off. As it was about last light I spot an elk about 450-475yds off. Forgot my bino's so I couldnt tell if it was a spike or not. I believe it was a cow. so she spots me that far off, wind is good...so only real way to get around closer to see if its a cow or not is to go back the skid trail I came down. About 2/3 way back where I came into the clearcut I wasnt paying attention to my left...(cow was to the right out of bow range) bull was probably within bow range I see a bull elk turning and leaving!!!So I forget about the cow/spike whatever it was and head to where the bull went. I get to see him at about 76yds! Rifle it would have been a dead one. but even at 76yds all I had was a butthole shot. I opted not to take it...well only thing I can say is pay attention to the left and right!! :D;) Still a good experience for me. I didnt get to really get a good look at the cow/spike but I got prob within 80 or so yards as it was getting dark and it was running towards the brush.:annoyed: such is hunting though :) also we still havent had any consistent rain so its dry as a bone and very difficult to "sneak" on anything!!

My groups are getting better and costly. Will start shooting fewer arrows each round0BE44B07-6378-4F63-AA3D-18DACF359EC1.jpg6FB1DE09-BD4D-4104-83D0-0E5C5FA4F120.jpg

The other thing you can do is still shoot as many as you want, but use alternate bullseyes on the same target if you can. That way you are less likely to do that. I’ve done it many of times. Some people would be freaking out with excitement, I was more pissed since the arrows are so expensive each time!

I never shoot at the same spot because arrows are expensive. :) Even if you don't bulls-eye them you will most definitely damage arrows.

It’s cool to say you did it! But yeah I shoot Carbon Express and they are crazy expensive. Wish I was a Native American hunting master and could just whittle my own!!!

Gotta shoot at a different spot each time. ;)

I learned the same way. Used to want tight groups like when you shoot a firearm. Damn arrows are just to expensive haha!

Still practicing, getting tighter groups this is at 25 yds. 0929181824a.jpg

Not quite destroying arrows completely, but getting the consistency.
