No way, take it off roading. I’ve found that riding on gnar trails gets it out of my system, making me less prone to do dumb shit in my truck. Which I was doing.

Okay, so his post doesn't equate to bothering someone. So what the hell is the point of your post?

There is a general consensus that the 3rd gen section is negative and the mods would agree that it’s one of the most problematic.

The fact that there is still a stigma to it after many years and new members are seeing it is telling in itself.

Telling someone to stop reading them is erroneous. When browsing you still see the topics.

I do come on here to complain about things from time to time, but they are minor annoyances and I'm usually looking for a solution. That being said no car is ever perfect but this is by far the coolest vehicle I've ever owned hands down.

I am in the same boat as the op.
Just got my Tacoma about a month ago and came to this site after the fact.
I really enjoy my truck and came here looking for ideas to make it better - but it is tough wadding through the negative about the truck, dealerships, and mother Toyota.
Thanks op for trying to set a positive spin!

But reading through this post has been one of the more enjoyable good natured bantering I have seen.

Ok So look, I've lurked in the background for quite a while now and been amused by all the hater banter. Ive owned many Toyota trucks from 1st gen through current, including an 02 "2nd gen" that I loved the best, some lifted and modified, some not so much...but despite that, they are all great trucks at the top of their class in EVERY respect! I currently own a 3rd gen 2017 TRD OR and its a huge POS just like every POS on the market today...but, its the top of the pile not the bottom of the pile. So the hell with all you haters and bullshit propaganda, drama loving posers...its a good solid truck that delivers when you need it. F**** all the haters and drive what works for you.

For the record, I don’t hate third gens. I just hate it’s subforum.
