Sorry to revive this, but what kind of weight capacity do these have? I have a 150 lbs 23zero tent and sleep 2 150lbs adults and 2 75lbs dogs. I currently use my KBVOODOO rack due to the rigidity

More than a fiberglass top. i know its good for at least a 350 lbs of people, a 200 lb tent and a 50 lb dog static and at least 250 lbs dynamic.

i will say that my first one had a manufacturing defect or something or i just stressed the topper to much off-roading and bouncing the truck down Colorado trails but the corners cracked and the topper separated from the rear door. I also had significant bed spread on my last two tacomas which likely was the cause and not the topper. OK4WD sent me a new topper within 2 weeks. The new one seems to be fine. I'd also recommend doing some kind of bed reinforcement of the bed prior to putting any topper or bed side mounted rack on to prevent this.

Check out @seekoutbeauty and @2ayne on IG.
They both got their Alucab Campers mounted on their 3gen Tacoma's.
Not sure if they are on here....

But they certainly look pretty rad!

@Jrazzle I like your setup. What is the height of your feet for your load bars? 40mm or 60mm?

@turbosmitty are you running a RTT on your canopy?

I need to bump this, no need for me to start a new Topic.

I have a 2015 Access Cab and have been looking at Alu-Cab for a topper. I appreciate the security and the options to slowly add on as you go.

It seems they sell a “Contour” model but it’s only for the 3rd Gen rigs. They look almost identical to the “Explorer” model which shows fitting 2nd Gen trucks.

It’s an investment and I get that. Mine will eventually get an Alu-Cab 270’ awning on it so I need strength.

    TIA,
    Greenbean

If anyone could do it again would you select something else?

There are differences between the 2nd and 3rd gen canopies. The 3rd Gen beds are not square and they taper back and get more narrow towards the rear.

After 4 years I still love mine and wouldn’t get anything different. I love the light weight and it being aluminum. It’s super strong and the full side doors make it easy to get at anything in the bed.

    Thanks man.
AVO or Asheville Vehicle Outfitters is barely 2-miles from the house. He is a dealer so I’m hoping maybe to save on some shipping. I know it’s an investment but we sure could use it. I’m willing to sell some stuff to help the wife understand, hahaha

I wish I could get the Adventure Canopy to get the rear panels to mount some stuff.
