    Prep with a scotchbrite pad and clean with Klean-strip (cut up an old t shirt for rags, don't use paper towels). One can of primer per side, two cans of paint per side. I'm giving an entire week to cure and harden before install. Probably not necessary to wait that long.

    Did you just put the Klean-strip on the scotchbirte pad and go at it? Also, would the Klean-strip affect the paint sticking to the metal at all?

    Never done anything like this so want to make sure I do it right before I waste money.

    I’d suggest a self etching primer.

    Lol ya I do. Nice part is I cut enough to fit, but didn't have to move the mounting location for anything. I'll need a smaller washer fluid reservoir and might need to relocate the battery. Cab mount relocate wasn't too bad either.
