I would love to do minden, just can’t do the one weekend they said oct 12-14.

I remember minden being slightly more challenging than south or north at ardbeg. But not as bad as black lake loop

If taco on 30s can do it, I would not call it challenging, walk in the park. :pccoffee:

Ill see you in bobcaygeon on concession trail then. (Little late in the year now, will be wet) but that will truely test your taco on 30s.

I did a little bit in my truck and it wasn’t easy, large obstacles, rock ledges 2+ feet, and thats the easy line. I dinged my Aluminum driveshaft, almost lost it.

Those are 32"s. Yes all tires measure smaller than their rated diameter with the truck's weight on it.

yes and no, @Joe23 285s measured at 32.9ish being on his truck while my 265s are at 30.3" on my truck. So those 32s are now 30s (in diameter) with all the weight they have to carry. But then mine are ATs rated for winter, which means tread is extremely soft.

Minden is about 3 hours each direction moving at a good speed.
If you're going slower it can take some time.

The camp is the very end as well. So you have to go through the whole trail.
And the water can get deep depending on time of year .

June it was really deep. July it was nothing.

    It's a nice camp though

I really want to hit concession.

And from what I understand it can be extremely wet to the point a snorkel is possibly needed

It's just the water and fact there's no bypasses for some spots.

Lol. Why did he have to use the "O" word? Why couldn't he just ask if we were "hitting the trails" or something like that? He was driving a Toyota so I'll forgive him.

    Pfft
    Make space.

Tell the wife that you need to get out one last time before winter hits

Not 100% last trip but probably 85% sure it's the last trip .

Trails all close early November and would be cold otherwise.
Doubt many would be prepared for the cooler temps.

One of my co workers asked me if I was an Overlander a while ago. It hurt :(

You're an overlander once you start putting things on the roof and/or have a snorkel.

Just checked the weather now. It could change, it has since I last checked and its calling for -4C overnight now vs the -2C it was a few days ago.

Obviously 2 weeks in advance is hard to predict but still.
    its getting cold up north.
