My wife got into an accident this past Friday afternoon. Thankfully she came out with only a few bumps and bruises. Her Subaru Forester...not so much. I personally think it is totaled. 2014 with just under 60k miles. I dont even want to entertain fixing this with all of the airbags deployed. Probably best to start over with different vehicle. Any insurance professionals with opinions?

Yeah that subi looks like toast! Get a new one. One thing I can say is that Subaru makes a safe rig, my wife took a rear end on I-5 at 60ish and walked away. upload_2018-9-25_19-21-47.jpg

No some person tried to dart across a busy intersection and she couldn't stop fast enough. Ended up clipping the rear drivers side and broke the other car's axle and who knows what else.

Thankfully she came out of it ok!

I once saw that type of accident in the rain and the person at fault tried to blame the oncoming cross traffic for hitting HIM! Had to testify in court that the idiot tried to dart across a 50mph hwy in the rain and expected oncoming cross traffic to stop as he darted across.

Judge wasn't buying what he was selling...

Put a fork in that Scoobie, it's done.

    Glad your wife is OK.

Subaru does indeed build some safe cars.

Sometimes a bit weird, but safe.

It's a total loss with over $15k in damage. Accident reports shows other drivers fault. Driver at fault is 15 years old, so probably needs more training . Time to buy a 2018 XT Forester before they are gone.
