Got my reg so I could finally put my custom plates back on.

Installed the new rotors and pads.

 

Bought my trdordc 9/14. Modding bug already hit. This weekend installed oem bed mat, full led interior lights, led reverse and license plate lights, me-so v4 led mirror signals, XenonDepot’s xtreme 5k hid kit, center console divider, oem trailer hitch cover, Southeast Toyota black emblem overlay kit, and the oem TRD Pro Grille with garnish and extended wire harness. Still have Baja design wide amber fogs, aluminum license plate bracket and me-so gasshole to install. I don’t even have my license plates yet! Love this truck.

 

Ohhhh... I knew I was going to feel pangs of guilt whenever someone tries this mod and it has no effect.

Here is why I said that it improved acceleration (for me, at least): I would be sitting stopped at a red light. Light turns green and I pull away, gradually giving it more gas to accelerate away from the stop. I would only get, maybe, 150' before it would hit a wall. Gradual depression of the gas pedal no longer worked. If I wanted to keep accelerating at the same rate, I would have to stomp on it. It was not at all smooth. To me, this was not right. Seemed like it was being starved for air. Again, this is with a manual transmission. I'm not sure if one would notice this same effect with an automatic.

Even though I had the parts for the airbox mod, I was having to leave it at the shop to get new wheels, tires, and shocks, so I decided have them put the MBRP dual catback system on at the same time. Didn't care if there was a performance improvement, just thought it would be cool to have a dual system on this mall crawler. Welp, good thing I wasn't expecting much because the exhaust system made no difference (except for a lot more noise). I drove it around like that for about 6 or 8 weeks, then had some time so I did the air box mod. Afterwards, the wall was gone. I was now able to accelerate smoothly through to 2nd gear time.

Originally, when doing my homework before buying the 'Coma, I had read reports of a "hesitation" when accelerating from a stop. I never experienced this problem.

Removed the TRD stickers from the bed.

Will do bed liner rockers and top of bed on the outside at some point.

 

Had two tires replaced at 8,000 miles, had a bad tie rod and they wore really bad! Then I cleaned her up and took a few pics!

 

what have you done as for the maintenance so far?besides the usual (oil changes & tire rotation)

 

Yes, I used JB weld. I mixed it up and put it on back of each pin. Made a small mess which I promptly cleaned up, but otherwise went smoothly.

I also pulled off the crappy double sided tape and used 3m after one fell off....
