As the title says multiple visible wire taps located behind the kick panel fuse panel cover and underneath the panel next to the parking brake.

So I've had these since I've bought the truck (obviously). I've noticed them before but the deeper I get into modifying my truck makes me want to know what purpose these wire taps serve or have served. Maybe it was an aftermarket keyless system? I've also got a couple of loose plugs that go nowhere.

I've been looking for wire diagrams but I'm definately not a professional so I'm not going to begin to try plugging and playing.

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. It's nothing hurting the truck obviously, but it would be nice to use if I can. Lol

Edit: probably best to say that fuse tap is mine

Looks like there used to be an alarm system or remote start system connected. Based on my experience attempting to remove wire taps you’re better off just leaving them there. Plus if you add a system in the future the taps are already installed.

Looks like the mess of taps the installer used on my truck for my Viper alarm/remote start. I hate taps, but dont feel like cutting and soldering that much stuff under the dash...

Yea I figured it's most likely the alarm system thing. I jus hate the ammount of wire taps. Lol

Probably going to take it down to toyota here and see if they cant tell me exactly what the wires are for.
