Depending on how far of a walk I have to the stand/where I'm hunting I have a headlamp, a big light and smaller one. By far my favorite lights are "wicked Lights" I have a scan pro and 402zf. I can swap out the led's so I have red, green and white. I normally leave the green in the headlamp for walking in/out and a white in the 402 for tracking.

So one of the places where I hunt is the surgeon I work with. He sent me this text and said there were 10 out there but he could only get 4 in the frame at once. Lol. This is a shot from his deck. Looks like blackstrap world for me this weekend!!!!

My brother and I keep arguing about using those pop up tents. I just wanna make a brush blind, he wants the damn tent.

I feel to couped up in those things and dont like shooting sitting in a chair.

I guess I'm old school and I don't care about getting wet when it rains.

Because they have found out through testing that deers eyes are hyper sensitive to blue, a.k.a. ultraviolet light. This has become a well known fact now

That’s why, when a few weeks back we had this conversation somebody posted and Electric blue bow that they had bought for Hunting. And I thought to myself, why was that salesman a DICK for not telling him about that. For every day use, yeah! The bow was bitching. Just not for Hunting.

I knew they could pick out blue easier than other colors. Didn't know about UV. Probably 80% of the deer I've ever harvested I was wearing tan Carhartt bibs and a Carharrt jacket. Guess it really depends on where you hunt and how you hunt. I'm mostly in hang on stands overlooking fields with 200+ yards shots. So being all camo'd up isn't really a concern for me.

You know those times when we get busted and we mistakenly say oh that deer must have sensed something, he didn’t sense something. He saw something! And it was ultraviolet highlights that we’re jumping out at him.

Obviously if you were gun hunting, it’s not as blatantly obvious as bow hunting and being only yards from our potential kill. But even regular clothes will show ultraviolet light from us washing them

It was in the 90's last week when I was bow hunting. I ended up having to takedown my stand and move it and the heat about killed me.

I've harvested many with a bow in my high school/college years. Still never used anything special besides a quick spray of scent killer. Interesting though about the UV
