I don't know how you people can drink that No.7 stuff. I'd rather drink from the toilet.

Oh lord we are all hosed now. Probably like gold crusted Kobe Prime Rib, smoked on a nuclear powered, reverse chambered dual smoke source smoker with an entire 200 year old giant redwood fed to it.

That's awesome! And definitely confirms that it'll have to go on top of my display case and not in it!

Haha I don't mean to be a pain...or cause confusing rules. There's just so many things that go in my smokers that are amazing and don't have a rub.. yours or anyone else's!

If I could only run over to the local Wally World and pick up some of your rub.....

    I'm working on that .

In the interim, the shipping turnaround time is fast and TW users get 10% off :D.

I've posted this picture before but a lot of times I smoke individual ingredients to go in other things.
Smoked flour (for making bread) smoked garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, turbinado sugar etc for rubs or adding to any recipe.. smoked ranch dip mix smoked cinnamon sticks ... All just because I can.
I make a LOT of smoked Kosher salt and give it away as gifts.
Hell I have even smoked water just to make ice cubes for whiskey drinks.

I'll have to try and scare up the pics, but I've done smoked ice, too! It's pretty good in certain cocktails. Used them in Bloody Marys last year, too.

I've smoked cracked pepper a few times, but now I'm lazy and just buy it in bulk at the store .

I love the creative uses of smoke. Nicely done!

I'm planning to smoke some salt here soon. Actually was going to order some pink Himalayan salt to smoke off Amazon.

I buy bulk peppercorns and smoke them... Grinding as needed which releases that smokey flavor all over again.

@Misplaced Nebraskan - try Honey Jack and Cherry Pepsi. Delicious and dangerous!

Hoping to have some details on the contest(s) by this weekend to give everyone plenty of heads up. Submission period will be a little ways off and it'll be long enough to encompass two weekends, so you'll have plenty of time to order rub (if needed), get your meat, and find time to cook. Working on the prizes as well. There is a little bonus kicker on that front!

I think there will be two categories:

Pitfaced BBQ Category - Features Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage or Spicy Meat Massage and includes the Pitfaced BBQ logo in the submission photo - This will have the biggest top prize package and will have at least a runner-up prize (maybe 3rd, too!).

Open Category - Everyone else cooking with something other than our rub (crazy as that sounds ;)) - Will have a small prize package available for the winner.
