Did a little work to my M416 trailer in preparation for our Labor day trip to the outer banks. I fabbed the 1 1/4" rack to the trailer, it is tied to the frame so the lid can be used without disturbing the tent or awning. I have a 270 awning that will be on the trailer that is not pictured.

Picked up my first portable toilet today, I went in for a Dometic 972 but went for the 962 due to the steep discount that Academy was doing. I figured I would take the risk for the older model for the price, seems to be well built. I set it up at home and flushed some water through the system, seems to function as it should. The wife is happy to have a toilet when camping now.

Academy Retail $69 but on clearance for $35. A lot of other gear on clearance as well, check your local stores.

My Waterport Daytank got delivered today. I ordered the kit from Costco since it was a significant savings, comes with the pump cap and lock for only $170+ shipping. I am excited to have this on my rig for fresh water and shower duty. Will post up more and maybe a review after our outerbanks trip this labor day.

Got my At the Helm bed stiffeners installed. I didnt do a write because there is already a useful video and the instructions are sufficient. Its a straight forward, fast, and easy mod. Most excited about the bottle opener and extra tie down points. I did ratchet strap the bed tighter during install to make sure everything was squared up.

Well, had a dream that I ordered ADS suspension from Marie at Headstrong so I took it as a sign to stop shopping around and make it happen. She was super helpful through the entire process and I would definitely recommend her services. Plus her price is super reasonable, with free shipping, and a total package deal. Hopefully the is the last suspension kit I ever buy for this truck.:spending:

I opted for 700# coils given I am a 3rd genDCSB V6 4x4 and I plan to add an AGMbattery and armor down the road. Also optedfor Headstrongs Stage 3 kit, extended lengthwith the compression adjusters, and SPC arms. I wanted to be in the $3,000 range but figured if I only want to buy once cry oncethen I need to do it now, plus the wife said she was cool with it given all the overtime Iworked this year and she wants me to only have to buy 1 lift kit for this truck, I love thatwoman. :bananadance:

Also, dont judge my dream, I started my first day of my 3rd shift round last night and gotcalled in early for a 12hr shift so I didnt get any sleep. :lalala:

Current thought process is to set the preload low and shoot for 1.5" to 2" after everything settles. Also looking into the ECGS bushing and may do it during the suspension install.

I believe without modifications it is in the 750# range or something. I have the data tag at home. A decent amount of steel was added but my wife can still move it around the yard without help and I can still push it up a hill and over bumps so its not too bad. Itll be up for sale at some point, I dont plan to use it and I would like to free up some funds.

Downloading maps and finishing my route planning for the trip out west this fall. Still trying to decided if I want to pick up my GFC or have it shipped to me. I outlined the options in an excel file attached to this post if anyone is interested in seeing and adding input.

Just had my 1st rotation (5,000 miles on tires, 20,000 miles on truck), tires are at 11/32nds tread and fairly even all the way across the tread. I have been running 32psi front/30psi rear, I stepped it up to 34psi front/32psi rear to see if I can get the tread closer to even but I may be unrealistic since its soooo close already. I will see how these pressures ride and adjust again at the next 5,000 miles.

At my 20k service my dealer said I was due for a recall so they ordered the parts. I went back in today, about a week since my 20k service, and they performed the repair for the a/c blower recall. I wasnt having any issues with my A/C but it is nice to get ahead of the issue.

I also bought a hi-lift for self recovery on our big trip in November and a SOG Power Access Multi Tool as my EDC. I am not into knives and stuff but I saw this multi tool and how you can buy different components to change out the gear as needed which really intrigued me.

Driveway install of the complete ADS suspension, ECGS bushing, and differential fluid swap happening this Saturday. I looked everywhere trying to pick a gear oil and eventually fell on 85W-140 Lucas Dino oil. ECGS recommends it and I figured I would try it. If it doesnt work out then I will try another oil on my next diff fluid change. I will be sending my diff fluid to blackstone labs for testing just to get an idea of where its at and how it looks. I will be at roughly 21,200 miles when I swap the gear oils. I am also going to start tackling the services myself after the 25k service, so I should be doing the 30k service in December once we return from our big trip out West.

Did some simple maintenance. I noticed the battery terminals had a little build up on them so I cleaned the terminals, put some of the terminal protectors on, and reinstalled. If it happens again I will use the battery protector spray I got. Best thing is, I got the battery stuff "free" because I have a $10 off $30 for advance and used the battery stuff to get over the $30 mark.

ADS suspension is in. Here is everything I did this past weekend.

    Miles ~21,400

Changed both front and rear diff gear oils, used Lucas 85W-140 per ECGS, sending oil sample to Blackstone for analysis
    ECGS Bushing
Front ADS 2.5" Coilover with RR and Clickers
LR SPC UCA, ball joint grease with STA-Lube SL3330
Rear ADS 2.5" Shocks with RR and Clickers
HD Dakar Leaf spring with energy suspension polyurethane bushings
Steel braided extended brake lines, bled with Mobil 1 DOT-3

It was a hell of a job for the driveway. A friend of mine came down and helped me knock most of it out Saturday. I ended up not doing enough research and messed up one of my shackle bushings due to the metal collars they put in them at the factory. I eventually figured it out, used a jig saw to cut the collars out, ordered new shackle bushings, and completed the install today. Overall pretty straight forward install. My driverside preload is ~1" and my passenger side is ~7/8" and I have achieved ~2" of front end lift. The rear of the truck is over 3" lift, I dont have my camp weight in there yet, also waiting for my GFC to be installed in November. I am hoping itll settle down some and I may add some weight to help until I get my GFC. I left the sway bar off as well, we will see how it goes. Did a quick test drive and it feels good so far.

Looks great man. You've got a lot of rake, but it really doesn't look bad! From everything I've read, those Dakars should settle down a bit.

How's the ride compared to stock?

I hit a small dirt road and some train tracks, so far its awesome. I left the sway bar off so i am going to see how that goes. Money well spent in my book.
