Would anyone be interested in 285/70/17 KM2’s? 33k miles. Roughly 40-45% tread left. Just bought 35’s and on the fence of running these for a few more months or sell em while I still can lol

I didn't ride the 07. I did ride the Ducati Scrambler Icon. Didn't have much more power than my old bike, a BMW X-Country 650 single. Very disappointed because I really like the looks of the Icon. Though maintenance was going to be brutal on the Ducati. After telling the sales guys at Yamaha what I was looking for, they all told me not to bother with the 07. Didn't have the power I required.

What did you tell him you were looking for? I’ve heard a lot of folks say the 07 handles better, but the engine braking is kinda a bitch.

My BMW had a top speed of 105. All I really needed to go was 80. But, in a pinch, I'd need a little more. But the BMW was near 80% of power at 80 mph. It was not really a street bike. It was more of a dual sport, though I never ended up using it for that. So, I decided that I wanted a bike that would do 80 (typical speed on Bay Area highways) with some to spare in a pinch. The Yamaha dealers I talked to all said that the 07 was not going to meet that need. The 09 definitely does. And compared to my old BMW, and the Ducati, the 09 is much more powerful, and still very nimble. Still too early to tell how well this bike works for me. I had one test ride of about 20 minutes, and then drove all of about 12 miles home from the dealer. And I have to keep it under 7000 rpm for the first 100 miles.

Apparently my old Bighorn pizza cutters are fine for carrying around a 6,800 lbs truck, with a Fourwheel camper, through everything Death Valley had to throw at it. But completely trashed in a year by Jay. Dude goes hard in the paint.

We both sportin’ new shoes over at the shop now...

Offering my services again. Flying up to Sacramento to visit a friend and driving over to San Francisco to buy a car and drive home to San Diego. If anyone knows of a member in SoCal interested in a part/tool you're selling, I can bring it down. Let me know!

Hwy 17 claims another one today. Saw a Tacoma and a small car had mixed it up this am- looked like people were ok. The tacoma had spun around and was facing the wrong way against the middle barrier and mushed up against the smaller car. :( Drive safe friends.
