    Fj looks awesome!! I’m gonna be caging mine too after A wreck I had in it a week ago. Did you tie the roll cage into the frame or is it played to the body?

    For now, it is plated to the body. We are redoing the entire rear end. Setting up a 4 link, going to a 22-gallon fuel cell, adding a 3 stick Titan 205 crawler box...if we have time/money to tie the cage to the frame, it might happen.

    I saw somewhere you were going to send it up to get work done by the same shop that did the boosted fj. That thing is crazy. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what they do to yours. I’m now sort of reconsidering the cage to maintain a comfortable ride for road trips. I still wanna do seats though with a 4-point belt. I saw in one of your photos that yours had a single strap that tied in the shoulder belts. How did you set that up?

    That's right, Josh at 530Motorsports is currently redoing the rear. We are pulling the leaf spring and shocks, replacing it with a 4-link and coil-overs. Also upgrading the stock transfer case with a Titan 205, the same setup BoostedFJ has now.

    I still have the stock seatbelt. I did add an extended to the receiver part due to the Metaltech seat rails being so tall. I used the stock belt when on the roads, use the 4-points when wheeling sketchy trails.

    Totaled my Taco a few weeks ago (no injuries, thankfully). Given my needs, budget, and long-standing fascination with the FJ Cruiser, I wound up replacing the Taco with this 2008 FJ last week. Funnest vehicle I've ever owned!

    I just joined after reading through the Katzkin group buy thread, starting to poke around here. This is my '08 of four years, top new (to me)/bottom current. A couple minor things are planned for spring, wheels, skids...possible leather. I would love to add a Taco to my insurance policy, but I need to build another garage first. :/

    More changes....Leaf Springs are for trucks. So let's pull em and replace with a 3-link and 16" coilovers.

    Haha, The polished wheels aren't mine. We are using them for mock up until my 41.5/13.5.17's Pitbulls show up.

    We also pulled the stock transfer case out and replaced it with the Titan 205 Twin sticks.
    Prior to this upgrade gearing looked like this.
    3.52x2.28x5.13= 41:1 crawl ratio

    Now with the Titan/205
    3.52x2.72x1.96x5.13= 80:1 crawl ratio

    Yes, I did say 42's. But how will they fit in the back if we pull the axle back 3.5 inches? This is how! No turning back on the COMP-Cut.
