That ^^^ I have a magnaflow.. first thing I did before I installed it was change the air filter to a TRD (AKA K&N) filter.... then I changed the stock intake fora TRD intake with the same filter .... I have a manual tranny so my shift points are my choice. I want to rev it up a little before shifting I can... it makes all the difference with this engine. I have PLENTY of power whenever I need it.

I was referring to the Mgnaflow bashing....none of these companies would actually post negative numbers to sell a product, just thinking out loud here......

No ones bashing all of the systems produce more power it's just we're in the power band there doing it

The magnaflow is higher in the rpm range due to the increase in piping

All depends on what type of performance you are looking for

I want more low end grunt to turn my 285s some ppl might want something different

No bashing to each there own...

URD seems to have split the difference, using 2.75" piping, for "greatest torque spread across the entire RPM range"

Looks interesting, especially if you pair it with their Y-pipe, that removes the rear cats... May have to take another look at it.

I wasn't referring to anyone per se... there's going to be some folks here that think there's little or no performance gain with the Magnaflow.
I have one and I also have the TRD intake.... I have PLENTY of power, it only got better not the other way around. Most if not all the folks that na-say don't have one and so not sure where the "expertise" comes from. Just sayin....

I had the magnaflow system on for about 2 months. I noticed absolutley no change in power. Sold it because it was a little too loud. I've had a aftermarket exhausts on just about all my previous vehicles that I modified and honestly I felt like the Magnaflow was a well made product. Welds looked nice, piping was heavy and thick. Got nothing bad to say about it except the noise.

I hear ya but to be honest my tires are louder than the exhaust. Pickup trucks are not the quietest vehicles .... you can add some sound deadening ..... kinda like adding in a nice stereo system, doesn't really complement the vehicle.... now loud tires and loud exhaust and more power! Yup.... I'm good.

Found this thread randomly, I have same thing on my 3rd gen and do not notice a loss in lower end. I'm a manual trans so the review may differ. I feel a tiny gain down low as I can pull second from a 7-10mph roll, the truck seemed to shake and have a hard time before. This was the most noticeable change since I changed over. The exhaust isn't loud 6 out of 10, with it being louder on the highway than around town. Hope this helps anyone looking at this product.
