I would venture a guess, there is more than the controls involved. It will need a temp sensor somewhere in the cab, probably different actuators to operate the blend doors, maybe a different HVAC unit completely.

There was a thread on this a while back. Conclusion: it'd be cheaper to trade it in on one with the premium pkg.

It was part of the P&T package. You can get the OR either way.

ah ok... standard equipment up here.

TBH, in my Access Cab it's kinda useless and I'd rather have the simpler controls anyway (fewer issues down the road perhaps).

Taint heaters though, they can stay!

    It's a downgrade anyway.

Turn it on when it's 100 degrees outside and it blows hot air on max in your face. When it's 5 degrees outside and you start up, it blows freezing air on blast in your face.

Dual zone is hilarious. It's not a 3k square foot house. You're sitting one foot away from the other person in a non insulated vehicle surrounded by glass.

I've had it before and you fiddle with them more than the manual controls.

It's obviously not for ambient temp, but just controls the temp of the air coming out the vents. Makes some difference.

To your point, it wasn't a big deal to me. I don't have it now and really couldn't care less.

I tried this in a 2017 Camry, it bolted and plugged right up but nothing would work on it. It came with a Nav head unit I ordered and was hoping too it would be a simple plug and play but it’s a no go
