Cranking Issue

Hate this being my first post.
My 2017 TRD would crank and crank but not turn over.
Like it was not getting gas.
Towed it to Toyota they walk out and it starts.
They say nothing on diagnostics
Anyone else had this issue.

 

I guarantee it was turning over. It just wasn’t starting. Why, not sure, could be a lot of variables such as dead battery, bad starter, etc.

 

Maybe it only happens with a cold engine? Ask them to keep it overnight.

OP: Was it hot soaked when it wasn’t starting?

What I consider a “turn over” to be is 1. An inside out pizza and 2. When the crankshaft turns over to move the pistons. Since the starter was cranking, it was turning over the engine. The problem is the engine wasn’t starting which could be caused by a few different things like a bad battery which some people have been saying they had to replace the battery already. Sorry for the long read

this happened to me when i first got the truck and then never happened again..

Like it had no fuel..

 

Let the dealer keep overnight, started next day no issues. No codes showed up. Truck was dry, just sitting in drive way. Oh well hopefully will not happen again. Thanks for the input.
