Hey all- I'm looking to do some camping this month up that way. Does anyone have information on the trail conditions post-Florance?

We barely got touched from florence in the upstate. Considering the eye went right over us.
Where/which parts are you looking to go?

I doing a camping trip w/ my GF up the blue ridge pkway and surrounding areas. IN the past we've camped in Pisgah, and outside of Waynesville. My friend in a 4runner was supposed to come but now can't make it and I'm cautious about going 4wheelling solo. So looking for some easier trails to get away from busy campgrounds and do some primitive camping. Open to suggestions at this point. Looking at the next few weekends.

Pisgah is perfect for that. Horse Pasture Road in northern Pickens County is a fire access road they’ve been “smoothing” lately and has really nice views. Mustergrounds in a Oconee County has some tight spots and I would be cautious when it rains there, but it has some good trails.

Anyone interested in a run this weekend? Thinking of heading to the mountains and taking the truck this time.

This thread likes to not send me alerts... Am thinking about a run after mod day, whenever that happens.

Might be worth a call to the park ranger about..

Could be down tree or erosion from all the rain we've had lately. Probably hasn't been fixed cause of the government shutdown.

Definitely. Once I figure out a good time to go, I will be giving a call to see what's going on.

I'd be down for sure. Just won't be taking the prerunner again.
