He says they will warranty it for 2 years and that's why. I told him to use 4runner forums or even Tacoma forums and guys would help him for free.

This shop has "Master Off-road Mechanics"

My last XJ came with an auto locker in the front. Steep uphill corners (switchbacks) were real fun if they were tight. I would have to put it in 2wd or else it would just plow and couldnt turn. I removed it after having that happen once.

Thats free siping for ice and snow!

Good luck, hopefully they help you out. That was a hell of a hit to not expect frame damage.

I'll start this off by asking if anyone knows of any engineers/architects that work in park/chaffee county and take pride in what they do instead of just copy/paste with zero skill. Looking for residential, anything from a simple deck to additions to new construction. @Martyinco :boink:

The ones we currently use suck. Architect that thinks his opinion is the only way to do things... no, if I want it a certain way, shut your mouth and draw it unless you are paying for the plans, then do as you please.

Engineer who "engineers" 28 piers 48" deep each with a 2x2 footer at the bottom for a 6ft wide uncovered "deck" that is a foot off the ground around a house with 50 pound snow load. No railing, no roof supports. That is over 6 pallets of concrete, and basically could replace the foundation of the house. Eat a dick! The same dumbass gave us "engineered" drawings for a good sized deck (28x12) with a 100 pound snow load and called out 4 piers with footers a mere 24" down. We sucked it up and went down 4ft on those because it was the correct thing to do since it is fairly likely there will be many feet of snow on it in as soon as a month.

Place is RSG off-road, guessing you guys have heard about it.

I know it is, but when he waste all his money on a $700 kit and then $700 install, I get to hear him complain when he isn't satisfied with the $700 kit lol

Probably trying to discourage him from going through with it...like an early withdrawal penalty or an overdraft fee.

    Just saw a Christmas commercial.

Tell him that he'll get beer and a 64-pack of crayons if he attends a mod day. My treat.

Yes, plenty of people will be willing to help I'm sure, and hands on experience, plus paying for some beers and pizza to keep the help happy... better way to go. And for $700, I doubt you're getting much of anything unless its a used setup.

He is sucked into the fact on the "2 year warranty"

He said if his shock mounts break after they install it, they will replace them, like it's bound to happen.

By all means if you have any bad stories or know people that have been there with bad experiences bring them. I need to convince him not to do it.

There's the RSG cab mount chop thread where they made some ugly welds for $400 . They did fix it after the guy posted up here and then contacted them, though, so I can respect that
