While I wait for funds for my rear bumper/tire carrier setup I wanted to see if you guys coat your spare with anything while its under the truck? Reason I ask is I just got a set of 5 new ray 10's and will be carrying one under the truck in the stock location for a while. I'm a little princess and don't like things getting scratched up unless I did it myself.

Leave it at home and leave your stock spare there.... i have my SCS rim on a swingout but keep my stock wheel in the factory location (i keep spare stock lugnuts in the truck too). You don’t need to carry your pretty spare where no one else can see it anyway....

It's on the bed of my truck right now. I initially thought of getting a spare tire cover from Amazon w/a DIY hole in the middle for the chain carrier. Thought against it because I was afraid that I might get a rock stuck between tire cover and wheel. I plan on getting a 12" high bed rack from Max-Modular, pair it with an old Yakima cargo basket and then use that setup as a tire carrier while I replenish my funds for a RTT and a Wilco Hitchgate Solo tire carrier.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Mount it under the truck face up.
