smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
Yeah, I had a 3 way call with Ryan at raceline and Bobby at solo.
Ryan spec’d The wheel and Bobby verified the fitment.

Ryan basically asked him what the minimum positive spacing it needed to clear the spindle/brakes

I get told that nearly every day it seems like. It looks steep because it is so tight to the body beneath the grille, not spaced off the body. So instead of my bumper having a leading edge to dig into stuff, it just never actually hits the ground. I have offroaded it pretty hard and my bumper never touched anything. So I think I will keep it.

its because he didn't cut out the old bumper support deal. so it goes down under that first because it sticks out so far that why it gives it the flat front end. cut it out and redo the bumper to get the correct angel so if you do see air and land nose first its not gonna make you go end over end but itll push your back end down.

Ouch yea I totally see that happening. I think even mine is possibly a little too steep should I see air after moving back out west.

I AM NOT CHANGING MY BUMPER. It works well for what I use it for, I am not a dumbass and don't face plant my truck, and also this would work better if I did, because its flat and would land on the plate, not leading with a tube like most bumpers. I am sorry that my bumper doesn't follow what the rest of the world aspires to see in a bumper. If you don't like it, please buy it from me and fix it.

My truck has been in the air multiple times. We are probably nearing hundreds of times at this point. The bumper has never once touched the ground. I didn't design it to save me from being a dumbass, I designed it because I know how to drive and didn't want my bumper getting torn of from being used as a skid plate.

Also I am unsure how you think your bumper is any better?

You literally have a hacked carbon fiber hood, an oil cooler hanging out of your grille, and literally no other mods to your truck. the title of your build thread is "title". Get outta here stray dog, no food in here

Yeah it's pretty clean. I got it from SDHQ but @mesojdm makes a better full-replacement part with switch-pro integration as well as other buttons. I just already had the SDHQ one and it's kind of an inconvenience to pull apart. I do wish all the buttons matched though and his allows for that.

[IMG]People on this forum are feeble minded enough to thing that a bumper like this would be more effective in a nose div than mine with a big flat plate.. Plz tell me what part of this bumper is going to hit the ground first. And if you think its the plate plz don't ever mention me again

It looks good to me. Cant see any reason for you to hate on it. It dose have a good approach angle, cant argue that.

Ok close fitting bumpers are great and all until you actually use it as bumper (intentional or not) when they're tucked real close usually they smash your headlights, grill, wrinkle your hood, push your core support far enough to where your fan pops a hole in the radiator, etc. How do I know? I've done it a couple times, I'm on my 4th bumper on my truck.

Personally it would look better if the front plate tapered more \ / , it would get rid of that boxy look to it. Cutting the crossmember out and tapering it back helps alot with approach angle if your 4 wheelin(didnt see if your 4wd?) If you ever go hit sand dunes that crossmember not being there helps a ton and keeps your bumper from shoveling a dune face.

Reguardless anyway bolt on bumpers fold up and smash everything in their path when you get in a wreck.

Not sure I agree with the bolt on bumpers fold up and smash everything when you get in a wreck. Poorly designed ones might. I rearended someone with my bumper and the entire bed of the truck I hit crumpled up, frame bent, bumper was toast etc. All I had was a scuff on my winch fairlead and my shackle mount.

It also is possible to get a decent angle without sticking out too far while keeping the the cross member. I have never done dunes so I could see how it would pick up sand like a plow though since it hangs so low.

Fortunately I don't plow sand in the dunes either, because I live in Texas. People fail to read the license plate when they are hate masturbating to my bumper lol.

Also people fail to realize that I have far better approach angle that most trucks on here because my truck has lift spindles, although everyone on here doesn't have the fortitude to admit that they didn't think of that
