This is going to turn into a design competition any minute now. Just save space for the branding front and center.

For lightweight, compact, yet very durable... I love the MSR needle stakes: https://amzn.to/2OluBtb

I've used them on all of my tents strictly for the past 4 years and have only broken 2 of them due to trying to pound them into overly rocky soil too many times in one trip. In sandy or muddy soil, i just push them in and then put a rock over them so they don't pull out.

    Just the basics
These are pretty tasty quick food options for both camping and backpacking.

Going to pick up the Garmin Inreach tonight, now I am questioning mini vs the fullsize explorer+ and trying to decide if the extra $100 is worth it for a device that has a few more features and is less dependent on using a smart phone app to send messages etc.

I'm kinda leaning that way now. The bulk is not a massive concern, but the additional ease of use, convenience and features are enticing to me. Ill check them both out tonight and see which way I go. I just got a $100 gift card at work and have $300+ in cash rewards on my new Chase card from their sign up bonus, so essentially I would be picking up for about $10 out of my pocket.

Well that battery cell did not last long 9 months or so. Went to charge it the Wednesday night for my trip this weekend and the battery had bulged out pretty big. Thankfully Amazon Prime to the rescue and had a new one at my place the next day. I went down to 16700 MAH which also weighs at least half as much as the one that went bad. Still should have enough juice to charge my devices over a 3-5 night trip at a minimum.

All loaded up and ready to roll. Start the AZ Trail tomorrow with a quick 4 mile down and back to the official start point at the Mexico border before setting up camp for the night at Parker Canyon lake(the end off passage 1). Sunday is the rest of passage 1 18 miles. Then passages 2-3 next weekend as an overnight backpack. Pleasantly surprised with the behind/under seat storage even with the JBL sub. Everything but my tent is hidden away and I packed extra cause we're car camping tomorrow20181005_180730.jpg

Truck is staying at parker canyon lake with my buddy who is camping with me but can't hike due to a bad ankle. He'll drop me off at Montezuma pass early then hang around the lake all day until i get done. But yeah normally nothing in site glove box and console left open. To hopefully deter anyone.

I know it’s not much, but I bought a Coleman classic camp stove today. Going camping at Bryce Canyon in a couple of weeks, and wanted something more than dehydrated backpacking meals while I’m there.

Brief moment of good weather at mile 18.8 of my 19 miles yesterday, rained on me about 10 min later. Drove through two hail storms on the way home. From Right to left I hiked up, across then down those mountains.
