I have an 2018 Trd. Pro

    stock rims and tires

    16x7 rims
    and 265-70-16 goodyear tires

My question is that I want to go bigger Tires

want to upgrade to 16x7.5 rims or 16x 8 rims with 285-75-16 tires

Will I be able to go bigger with out modification of the fenders or cutting?

Truck has 1" stock lift on the Pro.

or is 265-75-16 the safer size on this truck?

I've seen a lot of Tacoma Trucks with 285-75-16 without a modify of the fenders or cutting

    Let me know guys

No you haven’t, because they don’t just fit.

    265/75/16 without modding.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Without serious cutting I expect you are seeing trucks with a 2.5 inch lift for 285's. I do not think you will get what you are looking for without a suspension upgrade. The way your truck is setup I would throw on a set of 265/75/16's and call it a day. Get an aggressive sidewall and it will look pretty tough.

And for the love of GOD do not ask about lifting a TRD pro on here...

I have seen grown men cry after asking that question lol

When I decided to get another Tacoma, I researched what would be the best option for me (I want to buy it built the way I want it then add a few things) That + the Color I want, are the ONLY reason I am buying a PRO. If I planned on lifting it or adding significantly bigger tires (or wanted a different color) I would have purchased a TRD Offroad instead. :D

Use the search function, there are plenty of people on here running Pro suspension and wheels w/ 285/75/16s with little to no rubbing. Most have just heated the fender lining if anything at all.

Here on this forum I've seen a lot of guys do the 285-75-16 with a 16x 8 rim with out any upgrades on the suspension. But then I've seen a lot of other guys add extra extension to the lift to make the 285-75-16 fit?

It seems a lot of guys say it will work, and a lot say it will not!

Just trying to see if anybody has had this same issue?

Depends what you do. If you just roll around on the streets they'll "fit". If you ever articulate the suspension they will not fit short of trimming/cutting with or without the lift which itself makes no difference.

This is why you see conflicting information. People disagree on what it means for tires to fit.
