Total Chaos Bed Stiffeners

Those who off-road a lot on rough terrain, especially if they have weight over the bed such as bed racks or topper, can have the bedsides spread out near the top. You can tell if you need the bed stiffeners by looking at the gap between the tailgate and bed sides. If the gap is wider near the top, you need to get the bed stiffeners, which will pull the bedsides back to their original position and hold them firmly in place.

These are relatively cheap, $150

Some members are buying $50 coin/ashtrays and spending several thousand on lights, lifts and tires they don’t necessarily need.

Whichever the case, the more plastic I can replace and add more metal to this truck the better.

 

Anyone else have alignment issues of getting the top hole to align? Mine is off in both directions, fore/aft and height. Fore/aft misalignment not too big of a deal since I can muscle it to align but I can’t get it to align height wise (hole is too high). My set might be warped and the hole drilled too high?
