25,000 miles on my 18, and there are holes in the stock floor mats. before I spend the $$ on weathertechs, anyone know if the stock mats are under warranty?

    Do accessories have warranty?

Would strike me as a wear item anyway.

Look at Huskies too, before jumping on the WeatherTech train.

What are the holes from? If a defect in the material they could be. If from your heels rubbing, then no. I myself wouldnt waste the time dealing with it, you will come out ahead getting new mats yourself.

the ridges where my heel is, are separating. just gonna go with huskys or weathertechs.. just sucks that anything stock can't last 25,000 miles.

Pretty sure all oem parts\ accessories have a one year warranty if they were purchased from a Toyota dealer. If there is no warranty it would be stated at the point of sale.

I had an old car battery that leaked acid and burned the rear mat. Toyota replaced under it warranty 2 days ago.

First of all, why would you try to warranty that if you are the one that sat the battery on the mat, that is not a manufacturers defect.
Secondly, I doubt that the dealer filed that under warranty, they probably just gave you a new mat to make you happy, its called customer satisfaction.
These types of claims are what makes dealers and corporations harder on accepting claims because people want everything given to them.

Before I go into a complete rant, please tell the whole story, who put the battery there, was it even the battery from the vehicle that mat got ruined in, why was the battery being transported directly on the mat?

It was a cloudless summer day. Morning temps in the low 60s. 75 by mid morning. Not balmy. Light almost refreshing breeze. I was waiting for the parts department of my local Toyota dealership to open.

    Flashback to the night before.

The night before at about 8:50 PM I decided to drill hundreds of small holes in my passenger side all-weather floor mat. I did this because I thought it would make it more aerodynamic if I ever had need to fashion it into two mud flaps. I immediately had regrets, realizing it wouldn't make much of an all weather floor mat anymore. The all weather mats are 6 months old and sit in my MT Calvary Blue Pro.. Last 5 digits of the VIN are 66613.

When the parts department opened it's dual sliding doors, I pushed back a heavily pregnant customer and an extremely elderly customer to be first to the counter - marveling a how much stronger my new workout routine has rendered me. I mean, I expected the old guy to move when I shoved him, but that pregnant lady was REALLY pregnant (read fat) - my upper body routine was definitely rendering some impressive dividends.

I patiently explained to the parts clerk that these hundreds of 1/16" holes had spontaneously appeared over night. He questioned the veracity of my story. Then I told him I had purchased several vehicles going back many years at this dealership and felt that they owed it to me to believe my story. I then threatened him with calling Sweers and Lentz. When that didn't persuade him to replace the mat I threatened to leave the dealership a nasty Yelp review. He still held his ground.

I then brought out the big guns. I threatened to dox him on Tacoma World, where all my Tacoma brethren would sympathize with me and boycott the dealership.

The jackass pretended to not know what Tacoma World was, but I thought I could see the hint of a glint of fear in his eyes.

At the end of the day, they did not replace my mat. I blame this on Toyota and their cheap floor mats. A better floor mat would have stood up to my cheap HF drill bits. I feel I have been victimized here and shall never buy a Toyota product again.

I didn’t ask them to warranty the mats... I simply asked them how much it would cost for new mats, when I went in for scheduled sevice. The manager looked at it and said that it’s covered under warranty. I agree, they probably did the replacement as a good will customer service gesture, however I never asked them to replace for free.

Awesome, sounds like you have an excellent dealership to work with.
I apologize if I came across as being an ass, and thats why I stopped myself to get your side of the story. I just see this stuff all day and it gets frustrating trying to explain why something will not be covered under warranty.

X2, I have a made in the U.S.A. Husky floor mats and are on my list as one of the best bangs for the bucks (especially in winter) you can make on your truck.

The stock floormats are a big F U to the customer. The mats in my pro dont even have the grippy rubber spiked backing like in my older yotas. Its just some crappy carpet on some flimsy backing. Id get aftermarket as soon as the stockers wear out.

The lack of a guard next to the accelerator pedal also has cause my shoe to wear a hole in the felt (carpet) on the transmission tunnel. I hope this is a warranty item. Im at 10,500 miles.

Had a brand new F250 Super Duty once.
The Floor mats looked heavy duty but they were thin and wore out right away.
Took em back to the dealer but they said they wouldn't cover wear.
