What year was the original Bluesmobile anyway? 1974?

Yeah, but it was a Monaco, not a Polara.

All I know is that most MOPAR products produced after about 1975 were garbage.

FTFY. Ford and GM's of the late 70's on really weren't any better. It's why the Japanese had such an easy time coming in and taking over so much of the market share.

Edit- I don't remember what the year was off of the top of my head ('78 sticks out for some reason), but there was one in the late 70's that the US automakers actually recalled more cars than they produced.

And my '84 is a great workhorse, for only being a 1/2 ton. It plows snow like a tank, has never left me stranded, starts first crank in any weather (not bad for a 35 year old carb'd vehicle!). It's short on creature comforts, but it's built to be a workhorse

I spent a couple weeks in Stuttgart. My hotel was a 5 minute walk from the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Here are a few of my favorites.

Nice looking cabriolet with a really really great motor. I have that motor in a smaller, lighter car -- Z4M Coupe.

Nice pictures! That 190SL looks like it might be in original condition. Not bad for a car that's at least 55 years old.

    Popemobile FTW!

Fun fact: Pope Francis worked as a nightclub bouncer when he was younger.

That's what I thought. It's more of a truck than the Ridgeline. At least the X-class has a solid rear axle.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... I had a 1970 with cowl induction that looked like that in color paint scheme ....

    It was a modified 454/450 not matching numbers (kinda of a semi-resto-mod) .... more of a "modified-misc.-parts-put-together-car".

It was built by a machinist (tool & dye maker) and the guy was super picky mechanically and hand done black lacquer paint too.
Fast car with the clutch from h@ll.

Bought it in summer of 1996 or 1997 and owned it for about 12 hours and the seller bought the car back from me and ... and then resold it to a Japanese guy.

Also, had to put a can boost in it with each 1/2 tank of gas and it was sucked gas like crazy too ... maybe 5 or 6 MPG ... maybe ?

Weirdest car deal in my life and really glad to sell it back to the guy after I drove it home. Had BAD buyer's remorse in first hour of ownership and lucked out.

If it would have been a stock 454/450 car, I would have kept it longer.

Indeed you can! I decided I wanted the metal top though and went with a 2007 328 vert. There's quite a few out there but it took some time to find the options I wanted. And to find one in colors that didn't scream 'chick car'. :anonymous: Finally found a 6MT sport package in dark gray with a lighter (Dakota) gray interior. Just got it a few days ago.
